Processing of personal data (RGPD)

This privacy policy defines and informs visitors and customers (potential and actual), hereinafter referred to as "visitors", of the manner in which SComm Les Hôtels À Insectes, hereinafter referred to as "Hôtels à insectes", uses and protects the information transmitted to it and, more specifically but without being exclusive, when the visitor uses this site accessible via the following link: www.hotels-insectes.be, hereinafter referred to as the "site", or when the visitor uses or resorts to the services and products offered by Hôtels à insectes. This confidentiality policy may be amended or supplemented at any time by Hôtel à Insectes, particularly in order to comply with any changes in legislation, regulations, case law or technology. In such a case, the date of the update will be clearly identified at the top of this policy. Visitors are bound by these changes as soon as they are posted online. PERSONAL DATA

In general, it is possible to visit the site without providing any personal information. In any event, visitors are under no obligation to transmit this information to Hôtels à Insectes. The data controller ensures that the personal data collected and processed is accurate and relevant. In addition to the above, it ensures that they comply with the applicable regulations and with this privacy policy.

2. Data collected

Hôtels à insectes collects the following personal data: Language used, surname, first name, postal address, e-mail address, landline and/or mobile telephone number(s), language, job title, company name, VAT number, bank account number, Internet browser used, browsing mode used (PC or mobile).

3. Purposes of processing Hôtels à insectes may process personal data submitted for the following purposes:

  • electronic newsletter sent to visitors to Hôtels à insectes ;
  • to provide the information or services requested by the visitor (by presence on the operating sites, by e-mail, by telephone or by post) and tailored to the visitor, and more specifically :

    The company makes every effort to guarantee data security by implementing technical and organisational measures that comply with the standards applicable to this type of data and company.

    7. Visitors' rights

    Visitors have the following rights, in accordance with the aforementioned European regulation:

    Right of access and communication of data

    Visitors have the right to access and consult their personal data held by Hôtel à Insectes. Visitors can also find out how Hôtel à Insectes obtained this information and to whom it was communicated. In view of Hôtel à Insectes' obligation of security and confidentiality in the processing of personal data, visitors' requests to access and consult data will be processed subject to proof of their identity, in particular by producing an electronic or paper copy (accompanied by a signature) of their identity card during the period of validity of the latter. In all cases, the application is free of charge for the visitor. Hôtel à Insectes may, however, object to requests that are manifestly abusive (by their number or their repetitive or systematic nature, for example).

    Right to rectify data

    The European regulation allows visitors to request the rectification, updating or deletion of data concerning them which may be inaccurate, incorrect, incomplete or obsolete.

    Right to object

    Visitors have the right to object to the processing of data in the following two situations: where the exercise of this right is based on legitimate grounds or when the purpose of exercising this right is to prevent the data collected from being used for commercial prospecting purposes.

    Right to deletion

    Visitors have the right to request and obtain the deletion of data concerning them held by Hôtel à Insectes.

    Hôtel à Insectes will grant the visitor's request if :

    the personal data are no longer necessary for the purposes for which they were collected; the data processing was based exclusively on the visitor's consent and the visitor withdraws his consent; the visitor objects, on justified grounds, to the processing. In any event, the request for deletion may be refused by Hôtel à Insectes if the request is necessary for the exercise or defence of legal rights or for compliance with a legal or contractual obligation on the part of Hôtel à Insectes.

    Right to data portability

    Visitors may request that their personal data be sent to a processor identical to Hôtel à Insectes. Visitors may therefore ask Hôtel à Insectes to send them data in a structured, commonly used and computer-readable format.

    How to exercise your rights

    8. Response times

    Hôtel à Insectes will comply with the visitor's request by replying in the same way as the visitor exercised his/her right. Hôtel à Insectes undertakes to respond to any request for access, rectification or opposition, deletion or any other additional request for information within a reasonable time and in any event within a maximum of 1 month from receipt of your request. Depending on the complexity of the request, the response time may be extended to 3 months, in accordance with the applicable European regulation.

    9. Persons authorised to consult personal data

    Only Hôtel à Insectes staff members are authorised to consult personal data, with the exception of the application of point 4 above. These persons have a reasonable need for the data due to the tasks and missions entrusted to them or the requirements linked to the activity of Hôtel à Insectes.

    10. Authorised service providers and transfer to a non-EU country

    Hôtel à Insectes also informs visitors that it uses authorised service providers to facilitate the collection and processing of the data provided. These service providers are located within the European Union. Hôtel à Insectes has first ensured that its service providers provide adequate guarantees and comply with strict conditions in terms of confidentiality, use and data protection.

    11. Complaint to the competent authority

    Hôtel à Insectes hopes that any difficulties relating to the processing of personal data will be resolved through dialogue. However, if this is not the case, the visitor has the right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Authority.
